3.2 Epistemological placement of logic
In an introduction such as this, we cannot offer a complete classification of the sciences, since such an undertaking presupposes the general theory of knowledge, which is only available to us at the end of logic (For a first approach to the theory of knowledge, see the course of Critics, specifically Franciscus MORANDINI S.J., Critica, Roma, 1963, pp. 380 - 431. The fundamental texts of epistemology are EBT 5 and 6 (same in English); SM 6, lect 4 (same in English); 11, lect 7 (same in English). For a more complete treatment, see Juan Jose SANGUINETI, La filosofia de la ciencia segun Santo Tomas, Pamplona, 1977.)
Nevertheless, it seems proper to indicate from the beginning the distribution of the disciplines which revolve around the cognitive act.
